Very few attorneys in the state can boast the specialty area in which Jayne practices. While there are many school law attorneys, Jayne is well known and respected in her niche practice which is keenly focused in the school and employment law arena for non-union administrators. She has counseled hundreds of principals and other district professionals throughout her career and has built a reputation within the industry for her knowledge of the issues administrators face on a day-to-day basis, with a strong emphasis on contract and employment matters. Additionally, on a regular basis she fields inquiries on discipline issues, non-renewals, retirement, salary benefits and more.
Not only does she advise administrators and other district professionals, she is a frequent lecturer for various professional education associations and regularly contributes to educational publications such as the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators Update. Her goal is not only to provide on the spot advice to her clients, but also to offer proactive information to school administrators which helps them avoid legal problems for themselves and their schools.
Of particular value, Jayne operates a legal hotline service for more than 1700 members of the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators. They have access to advice on everything from expulsion and search and seizure, to dress codes and social media.
